your guide.
i started running in 2020 as a way to help me battle severe post-partum depression, navigate raising kids in a global pandemic + healing my gnarly childhood trauma. since then, i’ve completed five marathons, become a rrca certified running coach, as well as a 261 fearless coach, a global non-profit organization using running as a vehicle to empower + unite women through education programs + non-competitive running women-only running groups.
i came to running with a personal yoga practice of 18 years. i’ve been leading yoga for over a decade + know that having this foundation as an endurance athlete is a game-changer.
as a stråla yoga guide, i combine the principles of tai chi + natural movement to support others in finding what feels good by focusing on internal, as opposed to external, alignment. it isn’t about what a pose looks like, it matters how it feels in your body.
as a running coach, i incorporate both yoga + meditation to create individualized plans.
my coaching method is rooted in sustainability. i believe in honoring how you feel + focusing more on the process + less on the goal. you will get to where you want to go while feeling good + connected to yourself along the way. sure, you will explore areas outside of your comfort zone + use some tried + true training methods based on studies + science but not to the detriment of your overall health + well-being
